
Well, it's Sunday, and you know what that means. It's time for the Sports Watch, the fastest three minutes in Weston Sports coming your way right now:
We go to track and field, the Dual County League Championship Meet, which brought out some strong performances by Weston High athletes, headed by Tim Grant and Olivia Brackett, at Regis College.
Grant won the boys' high jump, with a leap of 5 feet, 11 inches, and also took the triple jump at 42-04.

Brackett finished first in the girls' two-mile run in a time of 11:17.21. She was followed by teammate Charlotte Walmsley, who crossed in 11:23.14.
Julia Kee placed third in the girls’ 200-meter dash in a time of 27.30.

In the boys' long jump, Craig Shytle took third place with a leap of 19-11.
Abigail Pohl crossed third in the girls' mile run at 5:12.57.
Finishing fourth in the 4 x 800 meter relay were Bracket, Pohl, Walmsley and Alexandra Rigobon in a time of 10:03.07.
Matt Herzig finished sixth in the boys' two-mile run in 10:02.50.
The girls' 4 x 100 meter relay team of Emelia Barron, Catherine Cebulla, Haley Knapp and Kee finished in sixth place in 54.04.
In the girls' high jump, Fini Bichara tied for seventh with a leap of 4-06.
Geofrrey Pendergast placed seventh in the boys' 800 meter, crossing at 2:01.93.
Kayla Lawrence took seventh in the girls' long jump at 14-09.
Also participating for Weston were Kyle Kachadurian and Jorge Castro in the boys long jump; Edom Wessenyeleh and Lina Makino in the girls' mile run; David Freeman in the boys' two-mile run; Cebulla in the girls' long jump; Matt Keefe and Nick Brackett in the boys' pole vault; Paul Scott in the boys' discus throw; Walmsley in the girls' javelin throw; Lily Teplow and Cebulla in the girls' triple jump; Knapp in the 400-meter hurdles; Nicky Packs in the boys' 400-meter dash; Sundaram Mishra and Kevin Mathers in the 400-meter hurdles; Deondre Molyneaux in the boys' shot put; and Adam Dvorak in the boys' mile run.
As a tune-up for the DCL meet, the Wildcats competed in the 52nd Annual Andover Boosters Invitational, where they also had a number of shining moments, including a bunch of personal best scores and times.
Overall, the boys finished 13th with 12 points and the girls placed 19th with six points The girls' points came in a third-place finish by the 4 x 800 team of Walmsley (2:29), Brackett (2:30.4), Wessenyeleh (2:39.6) and Pohl (2:23.4). The quartet finished in a time of 10:02.36.
For the boys, junior Spencer Shea had the highest point total of the day with 6.5 points. He took third place in the long jump with a personal-best leap of 20 feet, 5 inches. In the 400 relay, in which the Weston quartet finished in fifth place, Shea (54.8) was joined by Packs (53.0, personal best), Grant (52.6, personal best) and Pendergast (53.4). In the 100, Shea, Castro, Kachadurian and Amos Pownall finished in 12th place in a time of 46.37.
Grant also had two more personal best performances, finishing fifth in the both the high jump (6 ’00”) and triple jump (40 8.5”), and totaling 4.5 points on the day.
Among Weston’s other top performers were Teplow (triple jump, 32’00”- 8th place), Walmsley (javelin throw, 91’ 00” - 10th place), Makino (mile, 5:45.73), Freeman (mile, 4:51.77), Kachadurian (400 meter, 54.10, 14th place) and Rigobon (800 meter, 2:35.21, 18th place).
Meanwhile, other personal best efforts were achieved by Castro (triple jump, 36’ 7”), Lawrence (long jump, 13 ’6”), and Herzig (mile, 4:55.84).
The Weston girls were also represented by Cebulla (triple jump, 30’ 7.75” - 16th place), Kee (200 meter, 27.65), Knapp (400 meter hurdles, 1:15.24) and the 4 x 100 relay team of Cebulla, Lawrence, Knapp and Kee, which finished in 53.75.
The Weston boys were also represented by Shytle (long jump, 19’ 8.5”), Pendergast (800 meter, 2:02.81 – 12th place), Packs (200 meter, 24.42), Pownall (javelin, 122’ 6”), Andrew Connolly (javelin, 112. 8’’), Dvorak (mile, 5:09.85), Mishra (400-meter hurdles, 1:05.35) and Mathers (400-meter hurdles, 1:07.13).
