UPDATE: Evacuation at Weston High School Yesterday Unrelated to Propane Accident Last Week

Weston Fire Chief said two incidents aren't connected.

An odor of propane apparently caused by a "over-pressurized" tank that caused an is not related to another propane incident last week that left one person injured.

Weston Fire Chief David Soar said yesterday's incident was caused by an abundance of pressure in a tank at the science lab construction area that caused an odor of gas that was detectable outside.

Once students were evacuated, Soar said, fire personnel "put water on the tank" to cool it down and "off-loaded" some of the propane.
