
Weavers' Guild of Boston Holds Annual Sale
(Boston, MA – September 30, 2013)Celebrating its 91st anniversary, the Weavers’ Guild of Boston, the
country’s oldest weavers’ guild will hold its Annual Exhibit and Sale at the
Josiah Smith Barn in Weston October 31 – November 3.
Guild members will exhibit and sell a wide selection of
original, handwoven articles such as scarves, shawls, clothing, handbags, table
linens, rugs, wall hangings, and more. Knitting and other fiber-related crafts
will also be represented in a spectrum of color and textures. All articles are
juried by a panel of expert weavers and artists.
“This is a great opportunity
to find gorgeous, one-of-a-kind items with which to decorate yourself and your
home,” said Judith Shangold, Chairperson for the 2013 sale. “It’s an event
where you can meet participating fiber artists in a friendly setting, and learn
more about the ancient craft of handweaving.”
The sale will be held at 358 Boston Post Road at the
following days and times:
Thursday, October 31, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Friday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, November 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
