You don't have to travel far to enjoy a variety of activities this weekend.
When/Where: Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at First Parish of Sudbury, 327 Concord Road, Sudbury.
Why Go: It's a 110-year-old craft fair. But if the tried-and-true element isn't enough to convince you, how about the 65 booths of arts and crafts in a juried craft fair. Oh, and stop by for homemade soup and bread at lunch.

When/Where: Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Islamic Center of Boston, 126 Boston Post Road, Wayland.
Why Go: The Islamic Center is opening its doors for a day of Q&A, tours, documentaries and more along with free refreshments. In particular, a discussion of Islamic architecture, specifically focused on mosques in the U.S., will be featured.

When/Where: Saturday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. at The Happy Chocolatier, 509 Nagog Park, Acton.
Why Go: There will be free samples of chocolate, which is probably reason enough to go. But, just to ... ahem, sweeten the pot, visitors to the grand opening can also register to win a one-year membership to the Fudge of the Month Club or an ice cream cone every week for a year.

Weston High School Pumpkin Festival
When/Where: Saturday from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Weston Town Green, 400 Boston Post Road, Weston.
Why Go: It's a fall festival that supports a good cause. Face painting, pumpkin carving, food, music, a silent auction and more all benefitting Camp Sunshine, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses.

When/Where: Saturday from 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m. at Noah Brooks Tavern at Minuteman National Park, 33 N. Great Road, Lincoln.
Why Go: Enjoy a colonial style dinner reminiscent of what might have been served at a meal in the days leading up to the American Revolution. Entertainment will be provided by the Guild of Historic Interpreters.
