Weekend Happenings: Lots of Drama (We Mean the Good Kind)

1. Weston Drama Workshop Presentations
When/Where: Friday and Saturday at various times depending on the show. All performances take place at Regis College Fine Arts Center, 235 Wellesley St, Weston.
The Buzz: For the past couple of weeks, talented students from throughout the area have been performing in five shows as part of the 50th anniversary season of the Weston Drama Workshop. This weekend, the workshop wraps with performances of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" "The Illusion," "Les Miserables: School Edition," and "42nd Street." 2. U.S. Air Force Band of Liberty Concert Band PerformanceWhen/Where: Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Nara Park, 25 Ledgerock Way, Acton.
The Buzz: Enjoy a world-class concert under the stars. There's not a better way to spend a Friday night than listening to a premiere band for free.
Price: As mentioned above, it's free.
3. Sudbury Savoyards Presents The Savoy Club
When/Where: Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at Sudbury United Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Rd, Sudbury,
The Buzz: This is an anniversary performance of The Savoy Club, and pays homage to the Sudbury Savoyards best known works. With a nod to Gilbert & Sullivan, for which the groups is famous, and a performance of the one-act operetta “Cox and Box.”
Price: $10 with all proceeds being donated to the Relief of World Hunger.

4. Rolie Polie Guacamole
When/Where: Friday at 11 a.m. at the Discovery Museums, 177 Main St, Concord.
The Buzz: This probably isn't what you think from the title. Yes, guacamole is involved, but only in song form. Rolie Polie Guacamole is a band that sings about healthy food and healthy habits for kids. If you need a bit of help trying to convince your kids to eat their veggies, perhaps this is an event for you.
