WEEKEND RECAP - 1/27/14

MBB: Regis 68, Lesley 51

WESTON, Mass. – Ryan Chambers (Abington, Mass.) netted a game-high 22 points to lead Regis College to a 68-51 win over Lesley University on Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's basketball action in Weston, Mass. The Pride have now won three-straight games to move to 6-10 overall and 5-3 in the NECC. Lesley falls to 2-12 and 0-6 in league games with the setback.

T&F: Regis competes at MIT Invite

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Three Regis College school records were broken on Saturday afternoon as the Pride men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Cambridge, Mass. for the MIT Invite.

SWIM: Elms 141, Regis 82 (Men); Elms 138, Regis 124 (Women)

CHICOPEE, Mass. - Despite a record-breaking day and plenty of outstanding performances by the Regis College men's and women's swimming and diving teams, Elms College came out victorious on Saturday afternoon. The Blazers defeated the Pride, 141-82 on the men's side, while the Regis women fell just short, 138-124.

MVB: Johnson & Wales 3, Regis 1; Regis 3, Keuka 0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Regis College split a pair of matches on the second day of the Johnson & Wales (R.I.) Tournament on Saturday afternoon to move to 1-3 on the season. The Pride fell to host JWU, 3-1 in their opening game before picking up their first win of the year over Keuka, 3-0.

WBB: Regis 64, Bay Path 50


WESTON, Mass. – Behind junior guard Emilee Marro's (Bedford, N.H.) team-high 19 points and eight rebounds, Regis College battled past Bay Path College on Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's basketball action at Higgins Court. The Pride claimed their eighth straight victory to improve to 14-4 overall and a perfect 11-0 in conference play.

MVB: Southern Vermont 3, Regis 1; Lasell 3, Regis 0

PROVIDENCE, R.I.
 – The Regis College men's volleyball team dropped its opening two matches of the 2014 season on day one of the Johnson & Wales University Tip-Off Tournament on Friday night. The Pride dropped their opening match, 3-1, to Southern Vermont in a New England Collegiate Conference match, and followed that up with a 3-0 setback to Lasell.
