Weston Giving Away Historical Piano For Free
The piano sits in the historical Josiah Smith Tavern and was owned by the Smiths and Jones families of Weston.

WESTON, MA — Weston is giving away a piece of town history. The town announced it is giving away a historical piano dating back to the 1900's which was once owned by the famed Smith and Jones families. The piano is housed in the historical Josiah Smith Tavern.
The town is willing to give the piano away for free as long as it ends up in a good home, a statement on Facebook reads, plus the cost of a reputable piano mover. The piano needs only minor restoration and tuning. The only known damage is to the front edge of the music support, which is partially broken off.
"The piano is said to possess a clear, sweet tone that is bright and good for the ragtime sound," the statement reads.
