Weston Nursing Home Shed Fire Quickly Doused

WESTON, MA — A reported brush fire on Tuesday turned into a shed fire, right next to a Weston nursing home. Weston fire crews put out the flames before they spread to the Wingate of Weston.

Plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the shed as the fire spread from the brush to the shed, fully engulfing the structure. Newton and Waltham fire crews helped put out the fire alongside Weston crews.

Fire officials said the flames didn't reach the nursing home but the outside of the building did receive some damage from the radiated heat. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
