Weston PD Remind Residents To Lock Cars After Ash Street Break-In
A car was broken into at the Ash Street Reservoir on Friday.
WESTON, MA — Weston police are using a recent break-in as a cautionary tale for residents to keep their cars locked. A break-in was reported on Friday, on a car at the Ash Street Reservoir. Police said the area is frequently targeted by thieves.
Police said the Ash Street Reservoir area is under constant patrols due to the number of incidents that have happened. They still warned people to keep their cars locked after they park and to take any valuables inside, out.
The department added that the break-ins are very sporadic and can happen at any time — officers frequently hear from residents that "they never lock their doors or car and nothing has happened in X years," but warned many victims say the same thing.
