Weston Police Dog Sniffs Out Suspect In Hit And Run
After one of the drivers involved in a car crash near the Linwood Cemetery tried running from the scene, a Weston K9 officer tracked him.
WESTON, MA — Weston praised a furry colleague for his work catching a hit and run suspect on Saturday. K9 officer Knox sniffed out a man who ran from the scene of a car accident near Linwood Cemetery.
Weston officers along with K9 officer Knox were helping out at the Halloween Parade in the Town Center on Saturday when they received the call about a car accident near Route 20 and the Linwood Cemetery. When they got to the are, witnesses told them one of the drivers ran into the woods.
K9 Knox was got a whiff of the mans scent from the drivers seat and was sent into the woods to track him down. Officers said Knox made his way through thick brush and difficult terrain before he found the man, hiding in a ravine 400 yards from the crash.

The man was arrested, taken into custody and faces multiple charges.
