Weston Police Free Muskrat From Fence
The muskrat scurried right into the water once it was freed.
WESTON, MA — A muskrat in Weston found himself in quite the predicament on Friday, stuck between a chainlink fence. With the help of the Weston Animal Control, the slick muskrat made a quick escape back into the water.
The Weston Police Department posted two videos of the ordeal on Facebook on Friday. It seemed like the animal had tried to traverse the fence but got stuck (curse that leftover holiday weight). Animal Control Officer Hoffman was able to gently pull the muskrat back to the other side and free him.
As soon as he had wiggle room, the animal took off back into the water. The department posted a follow up video in the comments showing the muskrat happily swimming in the waters below the fence.
