Weston Police Say Goodbye to Retired Officer

Thomas Nims, a former sergeant with the police department, passed away recently.

WESTON, MA – The Weston Police Department is mourning the death of one of their own. Retired Sgt. Thomas Nims recently passed away, the department announced Friday. Nims joined the department after serving in the U.S. Air Force and was a dedicated Weston officer for over three decades.

Throughout his 32-year career, Nims was a patrolman, inspector and later a sergeant. He is survived by his wife, Jean, and children.

"Sgt. Thomas F.W. Nims will be missed by all," the Weston Police Department wrote on Facebook. "Please remember him and his family in your thoughts and prayers."
