Real estate + Development Group partner Brian W. Blaesser has been selected to join The Counselors of Real Estate®. Members of this select group receive the CRE® designation, which certifies individual professional achievement in the real estate counseling profession.

Mr. Blaesser practices in the areas of commercial real estate development and redevelopment, leasing, multifamily development, environmental law, renewable energy, public-private partnerships using public finance mechanisms, condemnation law, and land use litigation. Mr. Blaesser represents and counsels real estate owners, investors and developers on a wide range of real estate development matters. He analyzes and secures requisite entitlements from local governments for owners and developers, and also negotiates and drafts development agreements on their behalf. He is the partner in charge of Robinson+Cole’s national consulting work for the National Association of Realtors®.

The Counselors of Real Estate was established exclusively for real estate professionals who, without personal bias or conflict of interest, provide advice, counsel, or guidance that significantly affects real estate decisions. It consists of practitioners from real estate, financial, legal, and accounting firms as well as leaders of government and academia. The purpose of the organization is to serve as a resource for information, to create opportunities for professional development, and to provide access to an extensive knowledge network. Approximately 1100 practitioners around the world currently hold the CRE® designation. The CRE credential is awarded by invitation only through peer, employer, and client review in recognition of an individual’s achievements in providing advice and guidance on real estate decision-making for clients.
