3 Wounded By Stray Bullets in Dorchester Shooting

The bullets entered a home on Lawrence Avenue.

Boston Police responded to reports of gunfire in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood Tuesday evening. Three people sustained injury after stray bullets penetrated a nearby home, NECN.com reports.

Just before 9 p.m., officers were dispatched to 64 Lawrence Avenue. Officers reportedly confirmed three victims inside the home were wounded by stray bullets discharged from a shootout at a nearby peace rally.

The peace rally was being held on the curb outside the home to condemn violence.

Two of the victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police say the injuries are not lift-threatening.

Two boys, ages 14 and 16, were charged by police.
