6th Grader Wins T-Shirt Design Contest, Gets to Throw First Pitch at Sox Game

Dylan Zhou, a sixth-grade student at Holy Name Parish School, won the Energy Star 20th Birthday T-shirt design contest.

 

Dylan Zhou, a sixth-grade student at was chosen as the New England winner, of the Green Energy Challenge, a free Green Education Foundation program sponsored by National Grid.

Students across New England and New York submitted artwork for the Happy 20th Birthday ENERGY STAR t-shirt design contest, in which artists were asked to draw their energy saving wish for 2012.

Marcy Reed, president of National Grid, MA, presented Zhu with a $250 cash award and t-shirts featuring his winning design for his entire homeroom class at Holy Name recently.

In addition, Zhu will showcase his winning t-shirt when he throws out the first pitch during the soon-to-be-rescheduled National Grid-sponsored Earth Day game at Fenway Park when the Red Sox face the Yankees (this game was rained out on 4/22).
