Athletic Facilities at Roxbury Latin School to Undergo $30M Upgrade

The school will construct an addition to its indoor athletic facility so that it can expand its current athletic and academic offerings.

The athletic facilities at the Roxbury Latin School will undergo $30 million worth of upgrades on its 100-acre campus in Boston’s West Roxbury neighborhood. The Boston Redevelopment Authority recently approved the proposed plans.

As part of the project, the school will construct an addition to its existing indoor athletic facility so that it can expand its current athletic and academic offerings. The new building will house space for an ice hockey rink, indoor soccer, football and many other sports.

Eight new tennis courts will be built as well. The existing athletic fields will undergo upgrades. The school will also install trees and new landscaping to help buffer the facilities from the surrounding neighborhood.
