Back-to-School Information: Transportation

Boston Public Schools offers transportation information for parents and students.

When school starts on Thursday, many students' first view of the 2011-12 school year will come from their bus stops. Students who use the Boston Public Schools transportation system will start and end every day (well, unless they hit snooze a few too many times on their alarm clocks) getting on and off the bus. As such, it's important for parents and students alike to be aware of how the system operates.

Boston Public Schools does not publish exact bus stop information, but if your child takes the bus to school you should already have been informed as to their stop's whereabouts. However, BPS does publish general information that can't hurt to read. This page offers a lot of information; it describes how bus stops are chosen, it speaks to expected behavior on the bus, it answers a number of frequently asked questions, and more!
