The Ohrenberger Senior Program will return on Monday, October 1st, 2018 along with
Senior Coordinator, Lorna Bognanno.
The senior center will be open every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from
9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
There are many activities planned for the center:
Coffee Hour each day at 9:00 am
Tai Chi Club on Monday’s 9:30 am – 10:30 am.
Senior Exercise/Wellness class Monday’s 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
LUNCH program 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm every Monday and Tuesday
Computer Lab open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 am – 1:00 pm and Thursday’s 10:00 am – 12:00 noon
FLU SHOTS – Monday, October 15th 11:00 am
Art & Crafts – Tuesday, October 30th 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Chair Yoga – start date is Tuesday, October 23rd from 10:00 am – 11:00 am

New Workshops:
The Boston Regional SHINE Program, (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) at Ethos is a state health insurance assistance program that provides free and unbiased health insurance information, counseling and assistance to Massachusetts residents with Medicare and their caregivers. A presentation on Medicare and how the program can help you will be held on Tuesday, October 9th at 10:00 am.
Healthy Living Workshop provided by Ethos
My Life, My Health: Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) is an informative, interactive workshop, designed for adults who live with the daily challenges of one or more ongoing health conditions. It will give people with chronic conditions (such as high blood pressure, arthritis, heart disease, cancer, asthma,etc.) and/or to their caregivers the knowledge and skills needed to take a more active role in their health care. A book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Disease is provided. Class dates: November 7th through December 12th from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm and will meet one day per week for 6 weeks.
The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) Pharmacy Outreach Program and The Boston Regional Shine Program at Ethos will hold informational sessions on Wednesday, November 14th. MCPHS is partnering with the Boston Regional SHINE Program at Ethos to help you understand your Medicare Part D coverage for the coming year. Medicare Open Enrollment lasts from October 15th – December 7th, and for most, this may be the only time of year that you can change your Medicare coverage. Take advantage of this opportunity to review the cost and the coverage on your current plan, which may be changing, and to review and compare other coverage options.
