Father Joe O'Keefe came home to St. Theresa's on Sunday, June 16 to celebrate his first Mass at noon time. The Mass was a reunion of sorts for many priests who served at St. Theresa's over the years and came back for the happy occasion. Fr. George Hogan, Fr. John Mulvehill, Fr. Fred McGowan and Fr. Peter Nolan were among the many concelebrating. The new priest was ordained on Saturday, June 8 in California with the Society of Jesus, otherwise known as the Jesuits. He had joined the Jesuits several years ago to prepare for the priesthood. He is a graduate of St. Theresa Grammar School and 1982 graduate of Catholic Memorial. Following the Mass, he was greeted by many wellwishers in the pavilion.
