Wanna see how hockey has changed ?
Professional Ice Hockey has changed a lot in forty years: watch the old Bruins highlight link here.
The Bruins finally became a good team by the late 1960s. They even won the Stanley Cup in '70 and '72. It 'should' have been "a three-peat". Why didn't it?
The following link will answer that question, as well as provide a strong visual presentation as to how the game has changed in four decades. It really has.
Some of the Boston-area old timers can remember TV38, with Tom Larson in the studio, Don Earle [later, Fred Cusick] at the Gahden . . . or 'on the road' with the team. And, does anyone remember Bob Wilson with Bruins games on the radio, "brought to you by South Boston Savings Bank: "Always the Leader" ".

This old Bruins highlight video is quite rare, actually. I understand that much of TV38s videotape was simply erased and re-used . . . thus, many of the games from that era disappeared into nothingness. What I like best is no advertising on the side boards at the rink: it's easier to follow the puck.
