Start and finish at Rose's Bounty May 3rd
Our Walk for Hunger starts at 11AM and is approx 2 miles.
Maps will be provided for the stops along the way.
There will be a cookout and a celebration after.
A drawing of the participants' maps for prizes at 12:30pm.
We have Commonwealth Team Status which means Rose's Bounty receives 60% of what we raise to use in the parkway area and 40% goes to other hunger initiatives around the Commonwealth.

Passion, politics, and pulse-pounding rhythm collide! Martín Palmeri’s “Misatango” electrifies the Latin Mass with fiery Argentinian “new tango,” blending chorus, bandoneón, and strings in a bold, emotional ride that has energized audiences on several continents. By embedding tango’s harmonic language, rhythms, and melodic designs in the orchestra, Palmeri frees the chorus to simply “sing the Mass”, plunging the audience into a world of uplifting emotions, passion, and syncopation.
Opening the concert is Lamentations of the Prophet Jeremiah by Alberto Ginastera, an intense work written in exile in 1946. Setting Latin texts from the Book of Lamentations and with dissonant harmonies, jagged rhythms, and stark contrasts, Ginasteri’s music expresses profound sorrow and spiritual desolation.
Adding to the verve of the Latin American program are scintillating dance performances by Boston-based tangueros, curated by bandoneonist Alex Roitman and accompanied by a tango instrumental ensemble.
