CM's Armani Reeves Headed to Penn State to Play Football in '12

Reeves had been heavily recruited by elite D-I teams such as Notre Dame and B.C., but decided on the Nittany Lions.

Not every high school football player has a formal announcement to where he will attend college. On Friday football phenom Armani Reeves got to live many young men's dreams by holding a press conference announcing his intentions to play for legendary Coach Joe Paterno's Nittany Lions.

The senior cornerback said the decision was not an easy one. He visited more than a dozen of colleges, narrowing his decision down to Notre Dame, Michigan and Penn State. In the end, the decision was one based on academics, he said. "I want to study computer science... I felt like that fit me the best out of any school."

Reeves will know at least one very familiar face next fall because fellow CM standout Cam Williams previously signed to play for Penn State in 2012.

"All those guys, I have a really great relationship with them," Reeves said. "And they expressed how much they really want me. It just felt like the place to be. Penn State just felt like home."
