
Allandale Farm, one of the farms at the Roslindale Village Main Street Farmers’ Market every Saturday will host a tractor-pulled wagon tour of the only remaining working farm in Boston. The tour, to benefit Roslindale Village Main Street Farmers’ Market, provides an opportunity to see and learn about this unique farm. The tour will cover the grounds – to the fields, meadows, the pond, greenhouses and farm stand/market operation. Learn why the farm uses organic growing practices, hear about its CSA (community supported agriculture) program, and get an in-depth history of the property around the farm. The guided tour includes an overview of the farm’s operations, the gardens and nursery center, hear about educational events and the farm’s summer camp for children 4-10 years old. Jim Buckle, head farmer will conduct the tour.
