Backyard Movie Night in Roslindale

On Saturday, July 16, Roslindale Village Main Street Farmers’ Market will be showing a backyard movie “Chicken Run” at 8:00PM at the home of Steve Gag and Laura Gang, 631 South Street, Roslindale. Bring the kids (and/or your chickens) and enjoy an evening under the stars to benefit the Roslindale Farmers’ Market.  Popcorn provided and movie-goers can purchase beer, wine and soft drinks.  Bring chairs or blankets to sit on.  Admission fee is $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under. Reserve a space by sending an email to: stevengag@gmail.com .

Chicken Run is about a chicken hopelessly repressed and facing eventual certain death at the farm where it is held. Rocky the rooster and his partner, Ginger the chicken decide to rebel against the evil Mr. and Ms. Tweedy, the farm's owners. Rocky and Ginger lead their fellow chickens in a great escape from the murderous farmers and their farm of doom.  The movie is for all ages.

Movie-goers can reserve a front row seat for an additional $5 and receive a signed picture of “Yolanda,” the exiled Roslindale chicken.
