Holistic Healing with Acupuncture and Reiki

West Roxbury and the surrounding communities are invited to learn about whole body wellness, at a free holistic health event. Attendees will be treated to an informational session called “Discover Holistic Healing” taking place at the West Roxbury Branch Library on Saturday, May 14th from 11 am to 12 noon. Reiki Master Practitioner, Kim Ecevido of The Healing Way, and Licensed Acupuncturist, Chris Lehmann of Eastern Sun Acupuncture, will be on hand to discuss these two alternative ways to managing your wellness. There will be time for discussion, as well as handouts outlining some commonly asked questions about these ancient healing practices. A short demonstration of each technique will give attendees a chance to see how a typical treatment progresses.

Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist Chris Lehmann says, “This is a great opportunity to see what acupuncture is all about. The question I get asked most often are, “Can acupuncture help me with my …?” During this session I will discuss what acupuncture can effectively treat and address any concerns people may have about treatment. I find that once people understand what acupuncture can do and what a typical treatment is like, they are usually willing to give it a try.”

“I’m looking forward to demonstrating Reiki and one other therapy during the session. Energy Therapies help people to heal on all levels - Body and Mind”, says Kim Ecevido, Reiki Master and Energy Therapist. Besides Reiki, she uses several different techniques including Emotional Freedom Technique and Quantum Therapy. Kim’s goal is to assist her clients to become emotionally and physically balanced, therefore improving their overall health. When asked about what she hopes people will take away with them, Kim stated “We hope that it will be a healing experience just by attending, and that people will go away with a better understanding of the benefits of holistic therapies.”
