Local poets kickoff Roslindale Branch Library Poetry Series on June 20, 2012

The Friends of the Roslindale Branch Library are sponsoring a poetry reading on June 20, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at the Branch location. Two Roslindale poets Don Johnson and Dorthy Derifield inaugerate this series with the first public gathering to hear and discuss poetry. John will perform an illuminated version of his text including live music and and the found home movies of William Bradley, A World War II-era Fuller Brush salesman. His poetry has appeared in a variety of journals and anthologies. Derifield, an award winner, will also perform a reading. She has been published in various publications. Additional Friends sponsored poetry events are planned to be held over the summer and fall.
