Campbell Webb, having just finished a two-month botanical and ecological expedition to the Gunung Palung National Park in West Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo), will describe some of the trees he studied, his efforts to exchange botanical knowledge with local collaborators, and explain the emerging global 'semantic web' of data on the tropical forest; as well as his own experiences living in the Bornean rain forest and plans for future expeditions.
The event is free, but registration is required. To register, visit my.arboretum.harvard.edu.
