Waves Car Wash Hosts Solar Tour In Support of World’s Largest Grassroots Solar Event

Waves Car Wash is joining the non-profit American Solar Energy Society (ASES) and hundreds of solar-savvy installers and grassroots organizations throughout America to collectively showcase more than 5,000 solar-powered homes, schools and businesses in West Roxbury and across North America for the 15^th Annual National Solar Tour, the world's largest grassroots solar event.

The event is designed to introduce the solar technologies they are using to 1) drastically reduce monthly energy bills, 2) reduce harmful carbon emissions, and 3) enjoy rich tax credits and cash incentives as they demonstrate environmentally responsible business values.

Representatives from Channel Sun Solar Power Systems will be on-hand at the event at Waves Car Wash at 1680 VFW Parkway in West Roxbury to explain how solar works and answer questions.  Channel Sun is the design-build firm that implemented the 36kW turnkey solar photovoltaic system, which offsets about 20% of the electricity demands of the busy full service car wash and detailing facility.  They help businesses acquire solar power systems that enjoy break even points of five years or less.
