The national tour of the Wild and Scenic Film Festival will be in Boston with an all-ages EcoFest at the Atlantic Wharf Atrium on March 31, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The EcoFest will include inspiring international films, Captain Planet, puppet-making, an eco-marketplace, and environmental activities for kids.
A matinee of movies about young environmentalists will take place at 11 a.m. Other exciting short films, including a series called The New Environmentalists, will show during hourly sets all afternoon. The documentary tribute film Taking Root: the Story of Wangari Maathai will show at 1:10 p.m. There will be puppet making from 12 to 2 p.m. Saul Wisnia will sign his book about the Fenway Park centennial from 1 to 3 p.m.
Admission to EcoFest is free. Admission to the films will be $5, payable online or at the door.
