School's out. Summer camps haven't started yet. The kids may be looking for something to do. Here are several options for you.

On Sunday, June 26 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., celebrate the end the school year with a hoot, holler and jump at Franklin Park Zoo's summer kick-off event featuring one of Boston's favorite musical bands for families, Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys with a lively outdoor concert. They will have you strutting like peacocks, hooting like owls, cockadoodle-dooing like roosters, and of course, jumping like monkeys!

On Friday, June 24 at 10:30 a.m., come to the Newton Free Library for a multi-cultural celebration in honor of their 2011 Summer Program: One World, Many Stories. Participatory stories and songs will entertain, educate and create an awareness of many.

On Saturday, June 25 at 2 p.m. children ages 4 and older are invited to the Newton Free Library for Fairy Tales, Folklore and Fables with the Auricolae Story & Music Troupe where stories from around the world will be told through music and narrative with active audience participation.

On Thursday, June 23 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., acclaimed musician Ed Morgan performs a selection of original and classic children's songs and Jeannie Mac performs songs written by leading kids artists, original songs and everyone's favorites at in Needham.

Shows are subject to change. A $3 admission per group is required in exchange for a $3 coupon for food and drink during the same.
