FitWorx Members Gear Up to Shed Pounds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

FitWorx is the "non-gym" solution for a healthy lifestyle and weight loss.

FitWorx members striving to meet their weight loss goals have another incentive in October to stick to their fitness and healthy eating plans - raising funds to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

FitWorx, the "non-gym" solution for a healthy lifestyle and weight loss with four locations in Massachusetts, has kicked off their Breast Cancer Awareness campaign and challenged their members in October - for every pound lost, $1 will be donated to the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

"Just about everyone knows someone who has suffered with breast cancer and we are dedicated to supporting breast cancer awareness and research," said Rick Langella, founder of FitWorx.

FitWorx members from each location - Easton, Pembroke, West Roxbury and Weymouth - have an opportunity to share their story by writing on the "Tell Us Your Why" wall in each club. Anyone who is trying to lose weight and who is interested in joining FitWorx' campaign to support breast cancer awareness may join the club for the month of October at a special rate of $39.

"We help people achieve realistic weight loss goals with manageable, proven approaches to weight loss and fitness," explained Langella. "Through a well-rounded, guided program of strength training, cardiorespiratory fitness, stretching and weight loss management, we help every member adopt a healthier lifestyle and succeed in meeting their weight loss goals."

FitWorx members lost a total of 1,000 pounds during last October's Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, and this year they are aiming for 2,000 pounds. For more information or to sign up for the month of October, visit www.fitworx.com.
