I wanted to lob in a post of support for the Kilmer Elementary community and particularly its principal Emily Berman. I think she has done a fantastic job this year, coming into a leadership role that was vacated by a former less-than-capable principal who clearly didn’t address some basic structural and cultural issues at the Kilmer. There has been several hyperbolic and silly articles posted on this site - clearly written by a disgruntled teacher / administrator / para that is feeling challenged by the new and healthy leadership tone that is being set at the school. Keep doing a great job!! - I’ve heard from so many folks that think the changes are good.
PS - the Kilmer needs to be separated into two schools or needs two more administrators. K through 8 age range combined with two separate campuses is less than ideal and everyone can see that (that’s the problem BPS needs to fix)
