Learn Latin this Summer at Roxbury Latin Camp

LatinSummer, the largest and oldest program of its type in the nation, introduces students to the language and culture of ancient Rome.

Ascanius: The Youth Classics Institute, in conjunction with , will offer its LatinSummer day camp to students in the Boston area. LatinSummer, the largest and oldest program of its type in the nation, introduces students to the language and culture of ancient Rome.

Students will participate in classes in mythology, Roman culture, and Latin language.

The ancient Greco-Roman world will come alive for students through a wide range of fun, hands-on activities such as carving inscriptions, building models, playing language games and creating Roman clothing. As students learn about Latin, they will enhance their knowledge of other subject areas and explore how the ancient Romans shaped our modern world.

An exemplary staff of high school and college Latin students selected from across the region will lead LatinSummer weekday mornings from July 23th through August 3rd. Enrollment is available to any student currently enrolled in grades one through seven. Registration fees range from $65-$250 depending on financial need. No prior knowledge of Latin is required.
