Massachusetts Named 21st Least Miserable State for Thanksgiving Celebrations

The state ranks 40th in Black Friday sale enthusiasm.

What do you think of Thanksgiving? Do you choose to spend your holiday in a different city every year or do you force yourself out of bed to attend an obligatory family reunion in your hometown? Does food sickness or arguing come in the way of your celebration?

According to Estately, Massachusetts is the 21st least miserable state for Thanksgiving celebrations.

On a nationwide chart entitled the Thanksgiving Misery Index, Massachusetts ranked:

  • 37th in Salmonella cases per capita from poultry
  • 14th in dietary restrictions
  • 40th in enthusiasm for Black Friday sales

The chart suggests that the most miserable state is Ohio while Hawaii’s ranking as least miserable makes a tropical turkey meal sound like a great idea.
