The 4th Annual Ohrenberger-Beethoven Parents Rock Fundraiser
A Beethoven and Ohrenberger schools fundraiser geared to meeting each other, as the schools merge together.
On the night of November 19th, 300 parents, teachers, and staff from the and schools, gathered for the 4th annual Parents Rock fundraiser.
Held at the in Dedham, the fundraiser for the Parent Groups of the schools included entertainment by professional musicians, who have children in one school or the other, as well as the music teacher at the Ohrenberger.
Funds were raised at the raffle table with the many local shops from Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, West Roxbury, and Boston contributing a selection of items. The highlight of the raffle was a donated Boston Bruins hockey stick signed by the 2011-2012 team.

"As the Ohrenberger and Beethoven move forward to being officially one school, with the Beethoven housing grades K-1 through 2; and the Ohrenberger, grades 3-8, this event was about building community rather then about dollars. It was an amazing night and the two schools are now even closer to becoming one," said parent Mayre Plunkett.
