Parkway Youth Hockey Teams Raising Money for Lake Placid Tournament

Parkway Youth Hockey Midget Teams seeking donations to support Lake Placid tournament participation

The Parkway Youth Hockey (PYH) Midget teams are once again raising money to participate in the Lake Placid Can/AM Challenge Cup Tournament (March 30 - April 2, 2017). This is the 4th year of participation for the organization with each time being more successful and fun than the last! PYH started out with 1 team and winless and then progressed to 2 teams and a Silver medal and last year they were able to bring 3 teams and come home with Gold and Silver! This trip has become such an important part of the Midget program at Parkway Youth Hockey in terms of retaining, recruiting, and bringing players back to the program and the thrill of town hockey. The trip is funded almost entirely by donations which makes this appeal so important. They need your help! With a goal to bring three teams again this year, there is a need to raise roughly $50,000 to make the trip possible. This includes lodging, tournament fees and transportation to and from the tournament. To that end a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist anyone interested in contributing to make this priceless experience a reality for these kids. Each donation is greatly appreciated!! On behalf of all of the players, thank you in advance for your generosity. This trip means so much to the kids! A number of other fundraisers have been planned so watch for details on them in upcoming PATCH articles.
