The Knee Hug is a Good Abdominal Exercise for You
You are using your body weight as resistance to hug your knees toward your chest, and squeezing your abdominals.
There are a number of ways to work your abdominals. You can google "ab crunches" and you will receive hundreds of articles and youtube videos.
A benefit to working on your abs is that you can perform the exercises in your bedroom, backyard, in the gym or even in the park. The Knee Hug is one such move.
You are using your body weight as resistance to hug your knees toward your chest, and squeezing your abdominals. Not only are you working your abs, but also developing core strength.

- Start in a seated position on a mat
- Knees bent and toes off the mat; keep heels on the mat
- Squeeze your abs, round your spine and roll back a little
- Open your arms out to the side
- Pull your abs in, inhale and exhale as you hug the knees into your chest
- Your fingers lightly tap your chins
- Repeat, but don’t let your heels touch the floor until after you complete 10-15 repetitions.
