Take one look at the West Roxbury Patch Calendar and you'll see there's no shortage of things to keep you and your family busy this weekend. Here are a few of the happenings we're most excited about:
REGISTER FOR WEST ROXBURY COMMUNITY CENTER FALL PROGRAMS
The West Roxbury Community Centers are holding registration Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. at the Roche Family Community Center. Residents may start registering on Sept. 4, while non-residents may register after Sept. 8.Â

Programs include opportunities for all ages, including preschoolers and seniors. Classes include art, swimming, yoga, cooking, toddler time, tennis, sticky fingers, basketball and more. Classes begin the week of September 13th. Brochures are available at the Roche Center and online at www.cityofboston.gov/bcyf.Â

Want to get out of the heat? Or this weekend, get away from the rain? There's public ice skating at the Jim Roche Community Ice Arena on Friday night from 8-10 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. There's a rocking DJ on Friday night.
General admission is $5 and skate rentals are $4.Â
CATCH 'MAGICAL MOMENTS: CUTLER PARK AT DAWN' ART AT LIBRARY
Lance Ozier's work is on display at the West Roxbury Branch Library all month long in the art exhibit hall to the left of when you walk into the library. This exhibit is open and free to all during library hours. Â
