UPDATE: Cause of Three-Alarm Fire in West Roxbury

No injuries were reported.

The fire broke out just after 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning and quickly went to three alarms. Boston Fire says the home, located at 532 Weld St., was a two and a half story, wood frame, two-family house.

Boston Fire Department said the cause of the 3 alarm fire was overloaded power strip on the front 2nd floor porch with portable heaters plugged in to it. Damage estimate is $400,000.

The Red Cross is helping with two adults displaced by the fire. Boston Fire says the other five adults and one child living in the home have family/friends to stay with.

There were no injuries reported.
