Firefighter Saves West Roxbury Man From Drowning at Boston Beach
An off-duty firefighter pulled a 54-year-old man from the water at Carson Beach.

A West Roxbury man, who is also a known actor, was pulled from the water at Carson Beach in South Boston Monday afternoon, police say.
Officials say Sean Malone, 54, was swimming in the water when he went under and did not surface.
A lifeguard at the beach, nearby boaters and three off-duty firefighters banded together to search for Malone, officials say.

One of the firefighters spotted Malone and administered CPR after pulling him onboard a boat.
Officials say Malone was likely in the water for about 10 minutes before being found. The man was transported to Boston Medical Center for treatment.

Malone is said to be in critical condition.
