West Roxbury Resident Receives Binghamton University Graduate Excellence in Teaching Award

Each year, Binghamton University honors the special achievements of those graduate students who serve as teaching assistants and instructors. Nominations are invited from all graduateprograms and recipients represent a variety of teaching approaches in diverse subjects.

Joseph Stanley of West Roxbury, who is pursuing studies in history, has received a Graduate Student Excellence in Teaching award from Binghamton University, State University of New York.

Stanley was recognized as someone who can and has taught a wide range of courses, works hard, thinks deeply and is well spoken in the classroom. His students praise him for making history come alive for them by actively employing visual materials and historical documents, and because he inspires them to think broadly and critically.
