Best-Selling Cookbook Author Lidia Bastianich Greets Fans at Roche Bros. Westwood

Roche Bros. hosted a book signing and wine tasting with the award-winning TV host as she unveiled her new book and line of Italian wines.

Roche Bros. in Westwood recently hosted Lidia Bastianich, renowned restaurateur, celebrity chef, Emmy Winner and host of PBS’ Lidia’s Italy in America, as part of her national book tour. With a turnout consisting of fans, foodies and Italian cooks alike, the line continued to grow as other shoppers were inspired to meet Lidia and taste a selection of her newest offering of Italian wines.

Lidia’s Mastering the Art of Italian Cooking: Everything You Need to Know to be a Great Italian Cook is Lidia’s 8th book, and features over 400 recipes – all of which perfectly emanate flavors and techniques of true Italian cuisine. Her book also includes a bit of history and ingredients in addition to an Italian glossary containing words and phrases to assist all Italian travelers and foodies alike.

“Everyone is a foodie when it comes to good cooking,” says Customer Services Manager, Mary Poirier, one of the many team members at Roche Bros. Westwood that greeted customers during the event. “Our customers just loved it and were thrilled to meet Lidia in the store.”

Over 100 copies of the book were sold, each one personally signed to every customer. In addition, Roche Bros. offered the opportunity to sample four different varieties of Bastianich’s own line of wine: Vespa Rosso, Adriatico, Sauvignon, as well as I Perazzi from La Mozza Winery. This collection is now available at select Roche Bros. locations.

If you missed the event, there are still a few signed books and wine bottles available in the Westwood store while supplies last. Roche Bros. is also highlighting Lidia’s line of pastas and sauces, which are currently available in store so customers can enjoy a delicious Italian dinner at home any night of the week.
