Children Dabble in Irish Magic

A program this past weekend brought forth a taste of Irish culture ahead of Saint Patrick's Day.

Saint Patrick's Day is sitll a week away, but some Westwood kids couldn't wait to get their Irish on this past Saturday.

As part of a program at the Westwood Public Library, performer Debbie O'Carroll brought forth the magical Irish show that introduced kids and parents to a group of characters from various forms of Irish Children's literature.

The program featured an Irish-language poem about a banshee, as well as entertainment from such charactrers as a sea serpent called an Ollphéist and encounter the mischievous, headless Dullahan.
