Chilly: The Syrian Hamster

Chilly is up for adoption now through the Animal Rescue League in Dedham.

My name is Chilly and I am a female Syrian hamster. I am 2 months old and super cute. I have been handled since I was born and I'm well socialized, friendly, sweet, and playful.

I will make a great first pet and companion. I love to run on my wheel, explore in my exercise ball, and hang out with people. I enjoy treats like carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, and popcorn. My teeth never stop growing so I will need chew sticks to keep them trim. I am ready to go home and be your new best friend!

Please keep in mind that hamsters are solitary animals so they can not live in a cage with another hamster. They are also fragile and small children should be supervised while handling and playing. They require their cage completely changed and cleaned at least once a week.

If you are interested in adopting Chilly, please call the  of Boston's Dedham shelter at (781) 326-0729 for more information or stop by the shelter to meet her!

Adoption Hours:

Tuesday-Friday: 1:00-6:30
Saturday-Sunday: 12:00-5:30
Closed Monday's and holidays.
