Ephron/Phillippi Ryan Author Talk Canceled

Upcoming Programs Featuring Chronicle Reporter and

U.S. Naval Historian Still on Tap

The Westwood Library today announced that the author program featuring Hallie Ephron and Hank Phillippi Ryan has been canceled.  Originally scheduled for Monday, October 28th, the talk and book signing does not yet have a new date, but is expected to take place in early 2014.

Upcoming talks by Ted Reinstein of Channel 5’s Chronicle and naval historian Bob Begin are still on.

Reinstein, a reporter, producer and anchor for Chronicle, the nation’s longest running locally-produced nightly news magazine, will discuss his new book New England Notebook: One Reporter, Six States, Uncommon Stories, which was recently selected by National Geographic Traveler as a “Best” pick.

Begin will present an illustrated talk about the loss of the U.S.S. Quincy, a United States Navy heavy cruiser that sunk at the Battle of Savo Island in 1942.

Reinstein’s talk will take place October 29 at 7:00 pm.  Begin will visit the library on November 6 at 7:00 pm.  Both evenings are free to the public and will be presented in the Main Library meeting room
