Strategies for Coping and Intervention
In this talk, Barbara Moscowitz, MSW, LICSW will identify the challenges of caregiving and care-receiving for patients and families and explore the risks and benefits of caregiving, with special attention to II late life families II and adult children. She will provide a framework for assisting caregivers of dementia patients, focusing on their need for coaching, support and education. The talk will assist caregivers in reorganizing their family structure and roles to adapt to a "new normal." It will also help caregivers understand new behaviors. Strategies for coping, adapting and receiving support will be discussed.
