First Parish of Westwood Hosts "Farmers Market to Food Pantry" Program

First Parish of Westwood, UCC invites the residents of Westwood and surrounding communities to participate in a summer outreach program, Farmers Market to Food Pantry, in cooperation with the Westwood Farmers Market.

As part of their mission to better serve the needs of the Westwood community, First Parish will help the Westwood Food Pantry provide its clients with fresh fruits and vegetables.  Monetary donations from Farmers Market customers will be used to purchase fresh food from Market vendors, and then distributed at the Food Pantry.

Here's how you can help:

SHOP at Westwood's Farmers Market, which is open at their new location in St. Margaret Mary's parking lot from 1-6PM each Tuesday through October.  As you anticipate enjoying those fresh vegetables and fruits, think about how you also could bring enjoyment and good health to others through a simple act.

DONATE the change from your purchases - or make a larger cash donation if you wish.  Clearly marked collection containers will be at the produce stalls.

First Parish will take it from there!

Shopping at the Farmers Market means good things to you and to local farmers.  By working in partnership with First Parish of Westwood, it will also mean good things to those in the Westwood Community who are in need of food.

Residents of Westwood and surrounding communities are welcome to participate in all that First Parish of Westwood has to offer.  For more information about this or any First Parish program, please contact the church office at 781-326-5344.
