
The Westwood Library will host an afternoon of toe-tapping jazz when The Mike Monaghan jazz quartet performs on Sunday, October 20th.
The quartet, which has been performing at the library for more than 25 years, features Monaghan on sax and Emmy-winning musician Brad Hatfield on piano.
Monaghan and Hatfield are respected local musicians. Both perform with the Boston Pops Orchestra and have played with many popular artists. They can be heard on recordings by the Boston Pops and the soundtrack to the Clint Eastwood film, Mystic River.

Additionally, Hatfield’s work on television scores, including the FX network’s Rescue Me and many day-time soap operas, has earned him an Emmy award.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the performance begins at 3pm and will feature jazz standards and show tunes. Refreshments will be provided at intermission.
