Girls Hockey Topples Over King Philip, 3-1
The Wolverines advanced to 8-2-1 with Saturday's win.

Kim Egizi's hat trick on Saturday's game in Foxboro against King Philip led Westwood to a tough 3-1 victory. Westwood piled up 48 shots but KP's Alyssa Siegman was outstanding, keeping her team in the game.
Westwood goalie Siobhan Burke did her part to keep the first period scoreless by stopping two KP breakaways.

Westwood opened the scoring when Taylor Sweeney made a long pass out to a breaking Kim Egizi, who broke past the KP defense and put the puck in the net. KP got that one back on a power play, late in the second period.
Westwood continued to pile up shots on net and finally broke thru when Ela Hazar setup Egizi for a rebound shot midway into the third period. Sweeney started the play with a shot on net and picked up her second assist of the game.

Egizi then put the game away with her third goal of the night, setup by Hazar and Kelly Healey.
With a number of players out due to injury, Waverly Jackson and Heather Sullivan saw their first varsity action of the season and played well.
With the win, Westwood improved to 8-2-1.
