Hale Reservation Welcomes High Spirits, Fun for July 4th

While many sought refuge from the heat at a beach, summer home or nearby fireworks display this past weekend, members of Hale Reservation's Membership Beach joined together to celebrate America's birthday on Sunday through a series of "field-day" like games.

Activties included face painting, relay races, a water balloon toss, tug-of-war, and a game of "greased up watermelon". A sand-castle contest was also held, but one in which everyone who entered won candy.
